Fynco: Co Founded

82% of UK startups fail due to cash flow problems. Most can't afford a CFO. Fynco was built to fix that: an AI-powered financial intelligence platform giving seed-stage founders the same visibility as a Series C company, for a fraction of the cost.

Won the Work in Fintech Google Hackathon, attended Web Summit Lisbon courtesy of Payabl, and built the full stack from scratch. Financial modelling (TAM/SAM/SOM, unit economics, runway forecasting), UK tax optimisation logic, investor-ready metric dashboards, and a VC portfolio view so investors could monitor their companies in one place. Also handled the less glamorous stuff: SEIS/EIS fundraising strategy, GDPR terms, equity and dilution structures, and go-to-market planning through VC and accelerator partnerships.

The bigger vision was a financial ecosystem: a living data layer connecting startups and their investors, where shared financial intelligence made both sides sharper. Founders get a CFO. Investors get portfolio-wide visibility. The data network grows with every user.

We paused operations due to external factors, but honestly this was one of my favourite periods. Every part of it, the problem, the build, the pitch, the people, I found genuinely fascinating. The kind of thing I'd do again without hesitation.
